The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) is divided into seven distinct regions, each of which holds an annual Regional Leadership Development Conference (RLDC) in the spring. Region 3 is made up of Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, Kansas, Nebraska, Utah, Idaho, North and South Dakota, and New Mexico. This year the Region 3 RLDC, under the theme of “Eleva tu: Knowledge , Service, and Authenticity,” is being hosted by the Colorado State University-Fort Collins Student Chapter and the Colorado Professional Chapter.

SHPE understands the need to prepare aspring young leaders from local cities throughout the United States. SHPE at Colorado State University provides key opportunities for students to become leaders and innovators in the field and inspirational role models for tomorrow’s STEAM students. These key opportunitiesare probvided to our SHPE students through a variety of programs focused on professional development and entworking, community involvement and outreach, academic success and retention, and mentorship.

SHPE Orange County Professional Chapter

The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers – Orange County Professional Chapter (part of the Greater Los Angeles Metropolitan Area) in Southern California was revamped early 2017 by seven initial serving Board of Directors. Since then, the SHPE OC Professional Chapter has been growing and developing into an active chapter focused on community outreach and creating the SHPE Familia with the involvement with the orange county community and student chapters.
